At Ladybird, in our warm, welcoming and homely setting, we embrace the importance of learning through play. Consequently, children gain confidence, mature emotionally and develop social and cognitive skills. Play is valuable. Our setting offers your child an opportunity to play in our main room, a quiet room for individual and small group activities and two outdoor areas, one being undercover allowing for year round outdoor play.
All of our staff are qualified to care for your children, many with years of experience. Their primary focus is to encourage and support your child, enabling them to learn and develop prior to starting school.
The nursery is open Monday to Friday, term time only from 9am until 3.45pm including a lunch club.
Government Funding of up to 30 hours can be used for these sessions.
During the sessions, there are a range of different activities on offer as well as free play. These activities are planned by our dedicated staff team, often based on the individual child’s interests and play. Every child that attends our nursery is allocated a Key Person. Their role is to help create close attachments between the staff, the child and their family/carers.
We work closely with the local primary schools to ensure your child’s transition from pre school to reception is as natural and progressive as possible.
