I have spent the last 15 years working in education, the majority of which has been in differing SEND roles. I am a great believer in there being no one way that fits all; we have to be adaptable, work together and celebrate the small things that make us who we are.

Since relocating to Norfolk in 2016, I have dug into the wonders of early childhood education, initially managing a thriving preschool before developing and leading a nursery class attached to a local school.

It is a privilege to be part of those magical first steps into education and observe the moments of awe and wonder that come from it. I recognize that there are some very big transitions in early childhood—those first steps away from parents and carers and then possibly the move into full-time education. As a parent myself, I know the importance of feeling that children feel safe, excited, and engaged in learning and play.

What is happening at Ladybird Nursery is so exciting and I am very pleased to be part of the board of Trustees as the nursery continues to thrive.
